Available Recertification Options
This course fulfills the MN Certified Tree Inspector recertification requirement for 2020. Please complete the course by December 31, 2020 to maintain your Tree Inspector Certification through 2021. Please allow approximately two hours to complete all the components of this course.
This is a free course provided by a grant from MN Department of Natural Resources and USDA Forest Service.
This course consists of 12 video segments on best planting practices presented by Gary Johnson, Professor Emeritus, Dept. of Forest Resources, University of Minnesota. You will complete a 20 question quiz and submit your DNR application for recertification to complete the course.

Upcoming Qualifying Recertification Workshops & Classes
We are currently developing online recertification options in lieu of the numerous cancellations associated with the pandemic. If larger gatherings are acceptable in the autumn, we will also conduct in-person recertification workshops.
Electronic Recertification Option
The electronic recertification option is for those who are not able to obtain continuing education credits by attending an approved workshop or class.
